Enable’s Independent Habilitation (Formerly known as ISLA) program is designed for individuals who live in their own homes or apartments and want to maintain as much independence as possible, with support that fits their unique needs and preferences.

Support is flexible and personalized, ranging from just a few hours a month to more frequent assistance, depending on what each person wants and needs. Whether it’s help with managing appointments, learning a new skill, or navigating daily life, our team is here to encourage and empower.

Most services are delivered in individually rented apartments located throughout our community, allowing each person to truly live in their own space, on their own terms.

What Independent Habilitation Offers:

• Flexible, Individualized Support
  Services are tailored to the person's goals and preferences. No two plans are the same, because no two people are the same.
• Independence with Peak Time Supports
  Individuals live on their own, without daily support. Individuals choose the areas of support they want help with.
• Support with Daily Living
  Assistance may include budgeting, grocery shopping, managing medications, accessing transportation, or other day-to-day tasks.
• Community Living
  With apartments located throughout the city, individuals are truly part of the broader community—not confined to a single location.
• Person-Directed Services
  Every decision starts with the individual. We listen first, support second, and always honor each person’s right to make choices about their life.
